When you set up a tenancy there is a lot of documentation. Forms for your tenant to sign and also forms that you need to give to them.
For example
To name but a few.
For many of these documents, it is ESSENTIAL that you not only give them to your tenant but that you are able to PROVE that you have given them.
Otherwise, you may not be able to use the section 21 ground for possession.
In order to help with this we have created a new tenancy receipt form.
It is created using our document generator and you can customise it. So for example, if your property does not have gas – you will not need to provide a gas safety certificate! So you can adapt the form when creating it to leave this out.
There will no doubt be other items you will want to list which I don’t know about – so there are also three fields you can use for anything else you are giving to the tenant and want a signed receipt.
Finally, the form includes appliance manuals and keys.
