On 24 October 2024, solicitor and HMO expert David Smith (and partner in JMW Solicitors) delivered a workshop on HMO Law and Practice. The workshop was recorded and the recordings (just over four hours) are now available for sale. The training includes the following:
- What is an HMO?
- HMO Licensing – including applying for a license, standards and conditions
- HMO Management, including the various management regulations
- Enforcement of the HMO rules and Local Authority powers.
- Rent Repayment Orders
- Planning and Council Tax
The recordings are suitable for HMO landlords, letting agents and advisers (including local authority officers).
