Saving money with Landlord Law

If you are good at or enjoy paperwork

This is good news.  Paperwork is critical to managing a rented property within the law.  For example, you will need:

  • Tenancy documents such as a properly completed and signed tenancy agreement
  • Certificates such as the gas safety certificate and the EPC
  • To ensure that deposits are dealt with properly
  • Careful records of rent payments, and
  • Proof of service of important documents (otherwise you may not be able to rely on them in Court)

If you fail to deal with ANY of these properly you could find yourself in difficulties.

However – don’t panic!  Landlord Law has guidance on all of these issues to help you and to help you comply with the law and avoid penalties and prosecutions.

So long as you are careful there is no reason why you should not self-manage your properties for many years, saving yourself thousands of pounds.  As many Landlord Law members have done for years.
