Quick Guide - Checks and Payments

Quick Guide

Both checks and payments are crucial to rented property.

Tenants must be checked before you accept them as a tenant.  Then when they are a tenant – they have to pay you rent!

See brief details below and links to some of our content.  You will find the rest linked from the Topic page.

Note that if you are not a Landlord Law member, or have a Basic Membership some of the links will not work for you.  To join click here.  To upgrade your membership see here.

Checking tenants

It is most unwise to accept a tenant before you have checked them out thoroughly.

You will also need to carry out ‘right to rent’ checks – you will find links to all our content on right to rent in the Special Information Page here.
