The Landlord Law Members’ Regular Monthly Training sessions

June 10, 2024

Online TrainingOne of the benefits of Landlord Law membership is that we have regular training webinars once a month.

These are sometimes with me, but more often, they are with an outside trainer.

This can be a solicitor, barrister or Environmental Health Officer or some other specialist.

The webinars are very popular and are a great way to keep up to date and learn more.  For example, recent webinars have included:

Fire safety legislation with Justin Bates KC
Council tax with solicitor David Smith
The New Material Information rules with David Cox of Rightmove.

New content for Landlord Law

The training webinars are also a good way for me to bring in new content into the site which I am not best placed to provide myself.

Landlord Law is in the main written by me, Tessa Shepperson, and (although I am a specialist landlord and tenant solicitor) I don’t know everything!

In particular, I can’t help with some of the more practical aspects of being a landlord.  The training webinars meet this need.

In the past, we had several excellent webinars with Dave Princep, for example, on the Construction Design and Management regulations, and Radon, Asbestos and Legionella (the three silent killers).

Now Dave has retired, we are using EHO Paul FitzGerald, who did a superb session on damp and mould recently.  He will be back with more training later!

How are the webinars delivered?

The training webinars are all delivered online via our webinar software which is very easy to use. Most people have no problems.

All the sessions are recorded and loaded up to Landlord Law.  So members are able to revisit past training sessions back to 2018!  You can see them all from the Recordings Home Page.

All members can attend the live webinars (and ask questions), but only Business Level members can view the recording (although it’s easy to switch your membership).

If members have any suggestions for future training, let me know via our Green Button messenger.
