Landlord Law Info Blocks – Tenant Fees

January 5, 2020

We start the new year with a new content type on Landlord Law – our Info Blocks.

So what are they?  They are powerpoint sized interactive blocks which you can click around in to do stuff.

  • Some of them will be guides where you click buttons to find more information
  • Some of them will include videos or audios
  • Some of them will be educational games you can play
  • Some will be quizzes, and
  • Some may just be for fun

They are created using my new Articulate 360 software which I used to create last years new training course ‘Managing Your Rented Property Within the Law’.  I have a few Info Blocks already which I created for that course which will in due course be added to Landlord Law (they will need some adaptation), plus I will be making more.

I have only really just started using this software and there are no end of innovative ways I can use them to display information for you.  I will be able to get more creative once I become more familiar with it.

The First Info Block

The first Info Block to be added to Landlord Law is the Tenant Fees Block.  This has information about all (or most of) the different fees you may want to charge tenants and gives guidance on whether they can be charged or not (and if so how much you can charge).  There are different screens for most fee types for England and Wales explaining the differences.

This Info Block will be particularly useful for those of you who manage properties in both England & Wales – as it will be all too easy for you to get muddled up as to what you can do where!  The Tenant Fees Info Block will hopefully bring clarity.

Info Blocks are Business Level only content and you can find them on the special
Info Blocks page.

Our #landlordlaw Tenant Fees Info Block will be particularly useful for those of you who manage properties in both England & Wales - as it will be all too easy for you to get muddled up as to what you can do where!
