The Landlord Law Which Tenancy Agreement Guide now updated to include Wales

September 8, 2023

Having updated the Tenancy Trail a couple of weeks ago, it was today the turn of the Which Tenancy Agreement Guide.

This is our guide which helps you work out which tenancy agreement, or occupation contract in Wales, is the most suitable for your situation.

So the guide now takes you through the different types of contract in Wales, advises on whether they will be an ‘occupation contract’ or not, and if so, gives guidance on which one will be best for you.

In a way it is easier now in Wales as we don’t have quite as many occupation types – as licenses are now treated the same as tenancies (hence the new term ‘occupation contract’) and tenancies with resident landlords are no longer treated differently as they are in England.

The updated guide

The guide now splits off into England and Wales at the start with the fancy page with the big clickable flag images, and then deals with Welsh Occupation Contracts and English Tenancy Agreements separately.

You can always tell which part of the guide you are in as they all have either the little Welsh flag or the English flat icons at the top.

Enjoy!
